We are proud of the Class of 2010.  Many have received scholarships.  Among them are Sweenie Saint-Vil, valedictorian, and Naa-Shorme Aidoo, editor of the Jamesonian, who are headed to Georgetown University. Brian Williams is the winner of two national scholarships: the Coca-Cola and the Gates Millennium.

Jeannie Guzman, salutatorian from the Class of 2006, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship. She is graduating from Trinity College, Connecticut, with a double major: Human Rights Studies and Hispanic Studies. Jeannie will use her Fulbright to spend the coming year in Columbia, SA, teaching English to Spanish-speaking high school students.

Jeannie recently wrote to our principal, Mr. Dorney, “For me, Loughlin provided the foundation that contributed to my accomplishments.  I am forever grateful, beyond words, for the education and overall support I received there.”

 

The June 1, 2010 Senior vs. Faculty baseball game was washed out ending with a score of: Faculty 10, Seniors 5.
Juniors received their class rings Sunday, May 23, 2010 in a beautiful ceremony of many parts.
For 1 billion people there is no easy access to clean water. During Lent of 2010, Loughlin students did something about it.
The Drama Club presented Night of the Living Beauty Pageant on May 19, 2010. It’s a comedy that is very relevant today.
Loughlin artists received awards on May 19, 2010 at the Lasalle Academy Art Contest.
