Congratulations to Junior Angeline

Commissioner for a Day essay contest. This is the 26th
consecutive year in which a Loughlin student has been a
winner in this prestigious contest. Angeline was honored at
an Awards Ceremony at 1 Police Plaza and then spent the rest
of the day serving as the Commanding Officer of our local
88th precinct. |

Loughlin Sounds Good!
The Loughlin Chorus and 11 Band
members went to the New York State School Music Association
Festival this year to perform in front of the NYSSMA
judges.
On Friday, May 9 the Chorus blew the judges away and
received a GOLD RATING.
Only two of the ten choruses that sang got this top rating.
The Band members played on Saturday, May 10th. Eight of
them came away with the top rating of
OUTSTANDING and the other
three were rated just below that with a score of
EXCELLENT.
Congratulations to our Chorus and Band. Keep up the
good work. And a big thank you to Mr. Maffei and Mr. Bero.
We are very proud of you all. |
