The Chocolate Drive Assembly

Loughlinites know that the school year does not officially begin until the annual Chocolate Drive Assembly takes place.  This year, the assembly started with inspiring words from Brother Dennis.  He encouraged us to remember last year’s theme of “Respect”, while promoting this year’s theme of “Stop”.  He explained the importance of stopping and thinking about the consequences before dealing with a situation.

The assembly continued with many performances from some of Loughlin’s most talented.  The school band and chorus showcased their talents and started the year off strong.  The Loughlin Dancers got the audience dancing and laughing with their dance/ skit that showed what the “powers of chocolate” can do.  Small band was better than ever with a mixture of old favorites accompanied by talented fresh faces.  The Chocolate Drive assembly was a complete success, and just as Mr. Maffei said “Not every school can come up with an organized assembly in just the second week of school.”
