On March 30, 2007
the Red Cross Bloodmobile pulled up to Clermont Avenue
at 7:30 A.M. For the next seven hours the nurses from
the Red Cross worked with students sixteen years of age
and older and brave faculty members. Blood is a
lifeline for those who need surgery, have had accidents
or undergoing chemotherapy.
Our
Campus Ministers, Mrs. Altman and Mr. Fitzgerald
coordinated the drive with Mrs. Phillip, our school
nurse. Over sixty students and faculty members
attempted to donate blood. When asked if it hurt, most
students replied: “ only the initial jab.” Most
students felt good about their donation and hope that
their blood does some good. |
