THANKSGIVING

ASSEMBLY

On Wednesday, November 15th students and faculty gathered in the Auditorium for our Thanksgiving Assembly. After an opening prayer by Anya Prescott, President of Lasallian Youth, there was a film presentation to remind all of us what Thanksgiving is really about being thankful for all that we have been given and being aware and actively involved in caring for those who have less. Over six hundred cans of food lined the stage as a symbol of the Loughlin community’s contribution to the Food Pantry at Queen of All Saints.

Reverend Clinton Miller, Pastor of the Brown Baptist Church, and graduate of Bishop Loughlin was the main speaker. Reverend Miller spoke about the responsibility of those who had been given much. He spoke eloquently about the what he and society expects from the students sitting in the Auditorium. After Reverend Miller spoke, Sister Eileen, from Queen of All Saints Church thanked the students for their generosity and assured us that many people would benefit from these contributions.

At the conclusion of the assembly, our Campus Ministers, Mrs. Melissa Altman and Mr. Bert Fitzgerald and twenty students brought the food to Queen of All Saints.
